The freezing process takes place shortly after the fish is caught; it is sorted and processed, ensuring the retention of sensory and nutritional properties.
In addition to the economic advantage of frozen fish, a vast assortment of fish is available all year-round, ready for use.

Whether transport is by truck, ship or airplane, we are well organized to prevent all sudden changes in temperature that might damage the product. Ge.Ne.’s warehouse is kept tidy and organized and, above all, the cold chain is constant at -18°C.

During the glazing process, a final layer of ice is applied to the frozen or deep-frozen product by immerging it or spraying it with water. This process adds a layer of ice that protect the product from burnings during the freezing process.

Ge.Ne Group’s strategic locations in Africa (Senegal and Mauritania) are crucial both for a constant supply of seafood for Italy and the rest of Europe and for the export of products to foreign countries, worldwide. An example is China, which is supplied from these same ports with frozen products: mostly silver ribbonfish, green and red lobsters, tonguefish and cymbium, a particular kind of snail.

Octopus and cuttlefish are supplied constantly.

Internationalisation allows elasticity and growth, thus an optimization of quality, variety, cost and timing.
